I love that you focused on King Nebuchadnezzar in this post! Idol worship can indeed take us into the wilderness (and bring on insanity!) Thanks for sharing this perspective Jamin!

Thank you for sharing. Indeed, Jesus is our all in all. In fact, more than enough. Isn't that amazing?! 😊

:-) As a senior citizen who grew up learning how to write cursive in school, I continue to be agast at the changes in spelling and English over the years. So, sorry, I have to ask - what is the deal with no capitals at the beginning of all your sentences, unless it's a proper pronoun? Is it a "style thing" setting yourself apart from other writers? Very curious. :-)

Great question! For me it’s very much just a stylistic choice— thank you for your curiosity!

Very good read here. As a newly found widow, you realize very quickly the god of comfort you have desired in your life or possibly built an altar to.

The God of my soul grieves with me and is teaching and guiding me from a small god if comfort back to a high God of truth. He promises to never leave me…he didn’t promise to make me comfortable.

This nailed the issue. No matter what we do, we can get hung up in the world when we don't keep our focus on where it belongs. Peter is a good example of this with how many times he got it and then suddenly didn't. He learned a lot from those times of not getting it and having Jesus correct him. Thanks for sharing this.

I love that example of Peter— his restoration is arguably one of my favorite passages in scripture
